What’s the $100 deposit?＋
A refundable authorization hold placed on your card at pickup — not a charge. When the camera comes back on time and in good condition, the hold is released in full. It typically disappears from your statement within a few business days.
What’s included?＋
The FLIR C3-X camera (fully charged), USB-C charging cable, carrying accessories, and access to our how-to guides. The camera stores images internally; after your rental we can email you your images and an optional summary report.
Where do I pick it up?＋
We meet in person at Fred McKown Park, Colorado Springs. You’ll pick an exact pickup time when you book, and the handoff takes about five minutes.
What if I cancel?＋
Cancel 48+ hours before pickup for a full refund, 24–48 hours for a 50% refund. Under 24 hours, the booking is non-refundable. There’s a cancellation link in your confirmation email.
What if I damage or lose it?＋
You’re responsible for repair or replacement per our published damage fee schedule (see Policies). Most incidents are small — a missing cable is $20. Total loss or an unreturned camera is $700.
Do you do inspections?＋
No — this is a tool rental only. You operate the camera yourself. Any images or reports are educational, not a professional inspection or energy audit.
